Motorcycle accidents and the courts Most motorcycle accidents are not the fault of the motorcycle rider. Many motorcycle accident injuries are caused by the operator of a car or truck failing to look carefully and failing to see the motorcycle and rider. As motorcycle riders, we need to do everything we can to make ourselves visible and noticeable to other traffic. For instance, most all motorcycles today have full time headlights. Personally I ride both a Harley Davidson and a BMW motorcycle. I feel safer when riding the Harley Davidson because of the noise generated by the Harley. Many people find the loud exhaust of the Harley irritating but that fact also indicates they are noticing the bike and the rider and are therefore aware of their presence. |
