Stephen Wahlberg is one of the founding partners of Hillyard, Wahlberg, Kudla & Sloane, LLP, the leading personal injury and medical malpractice law firm in the State of Colorado. Mr. Wahlberg received his B.A. degree from The University of Colorado at Boulder and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1981.
Mr. Wahlberg can take credit for some of the largest settlements and verdicts in Colorado and is experienced in auto accident, motorcycle accident, train crash, plane/aviation crashes, medical malpractice, elevator/escalator claims and catastrophic personal injuries.
Mr. Wahlberg is the co-chair of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Auto Litigation Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for CTLA. Mr. Wahlberg has been selected by his peers in the Best Lawyers in America for the personal injury division. He has also been nominated to the American Board of Trial Advocates, an elite group of trial lawyers who have 20 or more trials. Mr. Wahlberg’s acceptance in Best Lawyers in America and The American Board of Trial Advocates was based on a vote of opposing attorneys and co-counsel. Mr. Wahlberg has also received the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum based on his jury verdicts.
Mr. Wahlberg has extensive litigation and jury trial experience and has received verdicts in the state and federal courts in Colorado. Mr. Wahlberg recently received a $2.5 million dollar jury verdict in Adams County Colorado based on a car wreck and has won numerous million dollar cases.
Following the September 11th terrorist attack, Mr. Wahlberg was recognized for his work in the National Trial Lawyers Care Program, and Mr. Wahlberg has received awards and citations for his professional and volunteer work.
Mr. Wahlberg is a frequent lecturer at seminars and conventions, including the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Convention and Blockbuster seminars. He also speaks at high schools, colleges, law schools and medical schools.
